Lifesaver Initiative
The Little Ripper Lifesaver has been in operation since 28th February 2016, with the initial pilot program supported by Westpac as part of their commitment to community safety. Over the last five years The Little Ripper has become a world leading search and rescue program representing the next evolution in coastal safety, with the ability to rapidly identify and respond to incidents with specialised unmanned aircraft.
World’s First Recorded Drone Surf Rescue
The Little Ripper performed the world’s first drone surf rescue in stormy seas off the coast of Lennox Head, NSW, Australia on 18 January 2018.

World's First Ai enabled Shark detection system for UAV
The Little Ripper team have worked closely with the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) to develop an Artificial Intelligence system for their drones to enable the detection of a variety of marine threats with high accuracy, in real-time. Ripper Sharkspotter can detect sharks.

World's First Ai enabled Crocodile detection system for UAV
This technology allows for faster reaction times to potential threats at beaches and water ways. Crocspotter has been developed by The Ripper Group in partnership with UTS, Amazon Web Services and Queensland Surf Life Saving.

Products
Marine Pod
The Little Ripper Marine Rescue Pod contains a platform that provides enough floatation to support 3-4 persons. The pod automatically inflates when dropped into water and is re-usable and re-packable with a simple install of a new CO2 canister. They are fitted with an automatic SOLAS light for night rescue, SOLAS grade high visibility retro-reflective tape, and can include a large sea anchor and a Shark Shield. The lightweight Pods are designed to provide help until rescue arrives.
